I find myself teaching in about 200 different offices a year, as the number one educator for the largest aesthetic pharmaceutical company in America. I am hired for business consulting as well as aesthetic injectable training. One thing I observe consistently is the lack of credentialing or titles embroidered on scrubs, and definitely an absence of lab coats. In my observation, less than 1% of aesthetic providers wear lab coats routinely. These same offices confide in me that they feel their patients don’t respect their medical judgement. Their dosing recommendations aren’t being taken seriously. They also struggle with confidence during these patient encounters. Meanwhile, they are dressed in unmarked scrubs, or street clothes which reflects exactly what the receptionist, or medical assistant is wearing.
